Open the bonnet on the recent models and it is shrouded in plastic mystery. What are they trying to cover up? A Victorian (as in Queen) "I am not amused", "out of sight out of mind" attitude to the infernal [sic] combustion engine.
They say that survival has to do with adaptability.
I prefer the KISS principal. It is robust and long lived.
