New Web Site for Sydney Land Rover Club.

For those interested the brand new website was launched tonight for the <span style="colorrange">Sydney - Land Rover Owners Club</span>. I'm not taking any credit but I was Chairman of the Web Committee watching its birth by our fully professional webmaster husband & wife team, and a great credit to them.

My pic of my Flinders Trip 2003 on front cover (background "The Painted Desert"), my white Defender first on left with me on the bonnet, thank god you can't see me too well. There will be a lot more pics to come in Photo section in the near future.

Still many things to be devoloped especially in Trip section, which I have to finalise, but Trip Calendar currently up to date. Members will be advised of password to access members area so they can view Trip Leaders etc.

Address www.lroc.com.au

Hope you enjoy

Hi Bryce

It looks good but I've written an email listing all the errors that need correction, e.g., inconsistencies, spelling, misplaced or missing commas. apostrophes, etc. I'll send them to the Secretary.

looks good bryce, photo gallery is a bit thin but i'm sure it will pad out in time.
i like the "members only" section, it adds that air of mystery that non members wonder about, just how does a member get into it since the bleeding obvious choice of membership number and rego number don't work., or am i being a little impatient and passwords will be issued to members at a later date?
not trying to be a smartarse (it just comes naturally), but this thing has been such a long time coming, if you count all of the inactive years before bruce and yvette, and, well, i'm just a little keen to explore it fully.

It does look good doesn't it all good things come to those who wait (Confucius).

They are working towards that end (letting members know) I know , about the only one at the moment, but it will happen :?:

When webmasters are only part time and do this for a living, its like painters always have crappy looking houses etc, every thing had to be right on release unless your Ron of course, I think he got a spare bucket of comma's for Xmas

There are a number of people that have not submitted their required data to be loaded on, that is why some areas a little thin, please have patience.

In members area on Trip Calendar you will find Trip Leaders name etc. I do hope some members don't let on password etc to non members (one in particular) when they get it.

"Barney" not too sure at the moment but will find out, I can't recall all that was discussed, I'm not a computer.

But I did request that a LINK be placed for the [b]'<span style="color:blue">AULRO'</span>site tonight and this I am assured will happen soon.

Photo's of course will have to be submitted to the Editor for approaval ensuring none breaking law and other issues, like winching down NP gates etc, so start sending in those pics.

REMLR is a very good site, will request this as well, will have a look at the other. I'm sure there must be hundreds, I've got dozens + on my favourites.

I'm going to produce an outback phone number list for any one contemplating travel and want info on road closures after<span style="color:blue"> rain etc </span>(well it rains in FNQ & the Territory) also police stations etc, and what other info needed by travellers, its unlimited.
