I used to own a lawn mower, it was a Rover.

I haven't owned or mown a lawn since 1988.
And I'm proud of it.
All that fuel and water not wasted on something that you can't eat (unless you are bovine) and doesn't grow under trees.
I lived on a sloping bushland site adjoining an urban national park in a steel house built on stilts with a native garden all round.
My neighbours quarried their sites to build their bungalows and then spent the weekends mowing their rocks and complaining about gum leaves, bushfires and termites.
Their lives didn't make much sense to me.
