What is it with the size of carry on luggage now , trying to get on the plane with these people wrestling with huge bags that don't seem to fit in overhead lockers and holding up boarding . Went to put a camera in the locker above my seat only to find it full of large bags and no one in the other 2 seats yet . UUUGGGGGHHHHH.
yep - have to agree. It's one of my pet hates when flying as well. Lazy ******* who don't want to check in their baggage and then collect it from the baggage collection at the end of the flight - so drag bloody great wheeled "trolleys" on board to give everyone the ****s.Quote:

Had a young woman with a toddler and a baby on a Melbourne/Perth flight the other day. She had no hope of controlling the toddler.
And while I am at it.
Short older women who cart the monster bags that weigh a tonne and can't get them into the overhead locker and expect someone to help them lift if up there.
We could make this a sub thread of the whinge thread couldn't we :)

Yep if they had the correct amount of carry on baggage there would be room in the overhead lockers for the screaming kids who won't shut up.:twisted:
I have a Qantas branded cabin bag, that meets their size regulations for carry on luggage. In that, I can pack for up to a week, and still be at the 7kg weight limit (recently on a flight back from Auckland, I thought I was going to get gate checked when my carry on was weighed in at 7.1kg). My small laptop bag goes under the seat in front of me, the rollaboard in the overhead compartment.Quote:

I had a yummy looking young Mummy sit next to me coming back from Melbourne once, had a great looking little kid and they were both very well dressed.
Mum turned out to be a foul mouthed bitch who allowed her rotten kid to jump all over me. Stewardess made the mistake of asking her nicely to control her monster and got told to "eff off" for her trouble....so they moved me to another seat.
I rarely fly now and don't really want to either.

I fly a lot, too much, and have learned to be be fairly tolerant of human foibles.
Crying babes are the least of my problems, and the increasing "everything but the kitchen sink" attitude to carry on luggage irks a bit - the rules are clear, and the airlines need to enforce them if not for safety in terms of weight distribution. I am not afraid to hand my carry on bag to a steward with a smile and say "I am sure you can sort this out".
However, I did buy a set of Bose noise cancelling earphones a few months ago and most of the noise problems simply disappeared. Encroaching fatties and seat kickers are another issue.......

I'm fairly tolerant of crying children, if the parents actually make an effort. I get it, kids cry.
My dad on the otherhand, not so tolerant :D
Last flight we had wins though I reckon.
Old vietnamese couple in front of us were getting full back massages, complete with uber strong smelling heat gel. This was mildly annoying.
Then the old bloke starts to feel unwell, and has a mild heart attack :eek:
People were asked to vacate their seats to allow the doctor to treat him, it wasn't until we were handed our breakfast trays that they asked us to move :p
All the while my cousin was spending the entire flight being violently ill in the bathroom, which I then caught, and in turn gave to SWMBO.

worst passanger I had to deal with was some up herself bit of hot tottie who upon me pulling out my laptop and folder of DVD's proceeded to flick through the DVD collection and then ask if we could watch some girlie movie that belonged to my wife (I was flying unacompanied and had just grabbed the family folder thats got an even mix of mine hers and alex's)
she got very upset when I said sure you can watch it on your dvd player if you like and proceeded to watch the original italian job...
it got down to the point of tears and all along with at one point the guy behind me asking why i wouldnt let my girlfriend watch her choice of movie... the look on his face when I explained that A, Im married and B, not to her was quiet entertaining.
