please pass on my commisserations....
when i was a squat i applied to join the navy as a submarine radar tech.
passed the written exams in january okay, had to wite them a letter asking to delay my phyisical in july as i was in hospital with a shattered hip. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif[/img]
to their credit they put me thru the hoops and failed me for having an op on a major joint. i was shattered.
met my wife a few months later, and i am immensely glad to have missed the boat to this day!
you never know whats round the corner, these things happen for a reason IMHO.
