I've only met one other in Australia who knows of, let alone enjoys Rodriguez.

I saw the movie "Sugar Man" which explains why nobody else knows of him.

Does anyone else enjoy Rodriguez, or am I really alone here?

I met some Saffies in Israel back in 1991 and they put me onto Rodriguez, i have Cold Fact and Coming from Reality in mp3 format .

I saw him in 2007 at Byron Bay blues fest. Didn't know about the story behind him until I watched Searching For Sugarman last year. What a story about a great artist.

Thanks Kenley, you just reminded me that I hadn't played it for a while, got it on now.
I don't think you are right about the lack of people who have heard about him, I know plenty of people who have Cold Fact, it's an all time classic in my books.

I was lucky enough to see Rodriguez when he was out here last year. Very memorable....and I still have it in the Disco playing in a loop. Love it.

Went to see him in 1981 at the Festival Hall in Brisbane with my then girlfriend and now wife .

We were just talking the other day about how we have his records but don't have the digital version of them and we never play vinyl anymore. Time to change that I think and get them on iTunes.

I really dig him - he's one insightful hombre. Played in a band for many years and Crucify Your Mind often hits the set list - we even recorded a cover version of it perhaps five years back.

just be aware that itunes is far from CD quality sound. You can buy all his albums on CD at JB HiFi.

Rip them into your computer, just change the import settings in iTunes to Apple Lossless.

Haven't listened to Rodriguez since I had my CD collection stolen - TWICE - 30 years ago. Brings back a lot of memories - thanks.
    Cheers,
