but it will either evaporate or eventually go off

The king of the mountain may have passed but the spectre of his cohort Dr.Dowker and the energy polarizer seem to always be around these miraculous fuel saving devices.............any one remember Orgon energy?
I've got a spare plastic jerry of diesel (20l) sitting in the shed since the RRS went to RR heaven. How long til I can't use it on the next one? Should I mix 250ml of kero or something with it similar to alpine mix and get away with it? Or just dump it, I mean use it for something else ;)
I did ask a question a while ago about whether diesel goes off and the consensus was that it doesn't. Only last week I chucked half a jerry of diesel (into the Tdi) that was lying around the inlaws place after they sold their tractor.
It was possibly a couple of years old.

Anyone else getting the hi-clone ads on TV again?
They've been on a fair bit here :)
To gain any benefit from higher p octane you need high enough compression or forced induction that has to run retarded spark on lower grades.
I've only had three petrols, a corolla, a Nissan and now the 3.9 v8. Neither the corolla nor nissan did better on high octane. The rover v8 ain't getting it on principle.
