heard plenty say nice things about them.
spoke to one guy there a few days ago and he seemed nice enough but he didnt bother to ring back the next day like he said he was going to, sort of left me with the impression that my $20k wasnt worth the effort, but i may be being harsh.
he reckons they do up to 20 units a week....
tdi auto $20k-$22k preferably with cruise and trade my accent for a not unreasonable sum. maybe i want a miracle..
told them what i was chasing, maybe they will ring back if they get something on the money and they are slow....
cant believe there is such a lack of tdi autos around in that price range.
oh well
i noticed they had a quite apealing green v8i auto for $26k but not sure i want to go back to 20l/100K at $1 a litre and they dont list the klms on most of their stock so you dont know where it has been.
Incisor,
Maybe those that made the deliberate and discerning choice to buy an auto Tdi in first place don't want to part with them?
V8 Discos are a dime a dozen.
Supply and demand and crude oil at USD44.00 a barrel 8O

yep, it's getting out there.
might just have to hang onto the accent tho i now have to disconnect the battery every month or so, so the auto doesnt rip itself apart according to the guy from keystar. genuine POS the new mitsubishi electronic auto boxes. they ought to be shot.
Go alright then, do they :?: :!:Quote:

Day to day they drive well.
The turbo lag is taken up before the 1800 rpm mark instead of succumbing to the urge to slip the clutch.
Not fast but an easy drive.
Off road good for climbing but without the benefit of the engine braking of the manual down hill.
A good compromise and you still get that lovely diesel rattle.
$75 to $80 for a tank of propellant  every 750 to 800 kms.
Incisor,
give Rover City a call again and ask for Richard, he's the guy in charge but has apparently been absent for a while.
Another address is Ross Jeffery Motors (I drive past them daily), they have a selection of Discos on offer.

Small world, eh ?!
Hi Jojo
yeah i know ross, nice guy and a fairly straight shooter
he is on the lookout for me.
he has a couple of nice v8's but i want a diesel......
will try richard at rover city next week
thanks for the assist
next time you are heading over to rockets give me a yell. would like to take your disco for a ride and see what a tdi manual is like ... if i may....
ps when you want that welding done?
The V8's are a little on the expensive side though, given no real after market extras.
and that's expensive even BEFORE hitting the bowser.... 8O
