If I kept it I would see it as a waste, wouldnt be used enough.

Would rather get a nice old Rangie that I can tinker with and use during the weekends.
But also one that was low priced enough that if it just sat around for a month or two then I wouldnt worry about it too much.

Well if the price is right then I will sell it but I am not desperate to sell.

If it stays so be it, I will keep using and enjoying it.

As far as what car I am looking for, I have no idea yet :?

    Still sorting that out.

Was looking at a ford ute but not sure.

    Rangie

    Hey Bigbugga,
When i was in Paraburdoo (1996) i had my nice VS V8 ute and could not go any where up there as the roads would knock the crap out of the ute. I ended up buying a 77 Rangie two door locally for about $3000 and flogged that around for twelve months out in the scrub while i worked there. Then i did not like the high price of fuel up there so looked around for a diesel then ended up putting in the 6.2L V8 chevy diesel. Sounds familar to your situation!!! Trade it on a TDI or TD5 and you will be pleasantlly surprised. The power differance is not that great but the fule difference is unbelievable 8O .

tis surely a sad day to learn the almighty lord rover is contemplating being roverless, tis not an acceptable situation, however, since you are going to be purchasing another rover later on that is acceptable ,get yourself a series soft top, no worries about headroom then, and ya can do all sorts of mods to 'em if ya not gunna keep it 'ridgeynal! 8)

I have to say you lot sound like my mother

    But in a nice way

Have never looked at or thought about a rice burner, (small import) mostly because I would need one for each foot just to make out of the drive way, to damm small.

Never said I would be a non LR type person, have spotted a nice rangie sitting for sale, stock standard with almost no bumps or dings, just havnt looked inside or under it yet.

And would love a nice old soft top series, would be fun up here on the beach with one of them.

As for the Falcon I was looking at, it is the new ford RTV ute, has a 85mm lift in it and protection plate underneath, and lothe I am to say it here it also has the electronic traction diff lock system.
But as said before I havnt made my mind up either way yet.
    Made to be worked hard.

No matter what I dont think I will be with out a LR of one type or another, So dont panic, you wont loose me from here.

Take that as a threat or a promise, ment both ways
