I agree with you Ron, we have absolutely no interest in travelling overseas. There is far to much of Aus to see, even though we have been to every Territory and State. Has Elisabeth a sister to take or maybe a close friend? You could try the "you would enjoy yourself much more with a female companion to shop and visit the attractions with"

In afraid Im a wanderer, and if I was still able to bugger off at any given moment, I would.. but I can't. If you really don't want to go, then tell her.. She'd have just as much fun with one of the girlfriends... Yes, I prefer the bush, Vic high country, Flinders etc, but I'd still go for another look around Europe, and make the best of it!! Only you can make that decision...

I have told her. She normally goes on holiday (Singapore, Vietnam, NZ, Europe, etc.) by herself as I don't want to go and also she needs a break from me.

This time, she wants to show me where she was born in Switzerland.

Her sister goes overseas often enough with her husband.

I went to Toowoomba once to see where my wife was born.

Some things r important, and by the sounds of it she obviously wants u to go.. I usually know when SWMBO wants or needs me there, and I go...

Me and the Mrs went on a cruise to New Cal and Noumea. I hated it! Got kicked out the dining room for inappropriate dress (shorts) Peed of the captain whenI enquired if the big dent in the ship was because he was Italian? Seemed a fair quetion after the Costa Concordious thing........ What?:angel:

My Wife want's to travel to Adelaide to spend some time with our youngest Son who is building a career as a Golf Coach at Royal Adelaide Golf Club.

I want to drive over, because they who live around the place, do tell me they keep the jug on in case someone drops by for a coffee. :)

The Wife wants to fly over but that way I miss out on a chin wag and a coffee somewhere, all I would have to do then is sit and drink red wine by myself. ;)

So Ron is it worth the damage to the liver by staying home and drinking all that red wine by yourself, or slip oversea's and pester the day lights out of the sales staff at the Land Rover dealerships ?

When you go, you could put the case on behalf of us here back in Oz, for a very decent revamped Defender, I'll leave that up to your best judgement.

IMO relationships need effort on both sides and it sounds like you're only thinking about yourself...

I'd go if I was you, if anything just for her.
