Ahhhh No!, cant say I have
Having removed my spare wheel from the bonnet, I was thinking of replacing it with a "wet - box" case of some sort for recovery gear and such like. I would want it the same classic 'spare wheel' shape, and lockable in the same way as the wheel was.
Has anyone seen any setup of this nature ? Pics ?

sounds like it could be a good idea to me (but i do like things different) I'd say to get a hard wheel cover from a disco and add a cheq-plated lid with lock

I was thinking along this line but I bet the disco hard wheel cover is prohibitively expensive....

Vlad, the main question is what the hell do you carry in the back of your ute if you want the tool box on the bonnet
