    Thanks for all the well wishing folks.
    Cooktown got through pretty good as you would have seen.
    A few places knocked up - that house and machinery shed you may have seen on TV was old Bills workshop (where I bought the press from). Pretty sad to see all that old gear rusting up.
    Town was pretty much spared, those out of town to the north and west have been touched up worse than in town.

    Our rainforest block took a hammering, lost most of the old rainforest trees just uprooted or snapped clean in half. The shed took a glancing blow bouncing a big girl black bean onto the water tank. That tank is repairable. The top gravity feed water tank copped a silky oak fair square in the middle and has split the top down to the middle.

    Once again thanks for the messages and texts and If anyone is passing this way on the way to the cape the shed is still standing for landy repairs!

    Good to hear you got through with minimal damage mate. I have a good friend down at Cow bay and he is like you lost some very nice old tree's and his orchard cop a hiding.All things considered a good outcome to something that could have been a major event.
