give the tdi a 3" exhaust and a little tweak of the fuel pump and there is almost no difference in performance between the auto 300tdi and an auto v8i they tell me..

will let you know in a couple of months

love the fuel consumption a whole lot better than the v8i. done a 100+ klm today and the fuel gauge didnt move, thought it was broke till i filled it up and it moved

the ride in the v8 is definetly better tho... the difference is quite distinct considering there is only 100lbs difference over the front axle.

Good one Incisor, let your wallet speak for you! Looks a nice machine, need some more views though.
I guess the coming weekend will be spent purving looking up it's chassis?????

Is it going to be developed into a full on touring/go anywhere disco?

Must admit my RR's body is getting tired and have been looking for a good nick Disco that I can do a lot of swapsie with the RR's gear.

i wont be spending too much on it till my better half gets over this hurdle

but yeah i hope to make a nice tourer out of it.

gotta find a set of mags to put these h/t's on and then get a set of m/t's for the weekends away

so if anyone has a decent set of mags with decent m/t's on them please feel free to donate to my worthy cause, hehehe

Not this old argument again.

Let's just say "V8's sound and accelerate MUCH better" while "Diesels are MUCH more frugal" and leave it at that.

Any argument ? See you in the price of petrol thread.

I'm quite partial to the lines of the RR Classic, but Mrs Vlad hates them

She does like Discos however, so that's the only chance I ever have of getting another (which is to say, a second) Land Rover.

Still bugger all chance though.
