    Yeah River island is a great place ! I have been to the Nissan Trials many times! Someone from the patrol club said go to the resort in winter as there are not many people there and the proprietor's let you go 4wdriving any where on the property! And if you are on you're own and do get stuck its no problem all you do is radio the proprietor's and they will come out and rescue you! It is a great place!
