WHAT'S THE BEST AND WORST CONCERT YOU HAVE BEEN TO?

With the Rolling stones on the way back later this year and maybe AC/DC in the future and Bruce Springsteen touring earlier this year just thought i would ask you guys what's the best and worst concerts you have been to.Or any musical festival or event for that matter.

I found this a very tough one to answer but i came up with Rodger Waters performing Dark side of the moon, from start to finish. As a huge Pink Floyd fan this as close as i am ever going to get to seeing them.

For a huge stage show KISS and AC/DC are unbelievable. IMO the best festival in Australia is the Byron bay blues and roots festival very cool. CMC rocks North Queensland was awesome as well, Alan Jackson put on a very good show.

Smaller pub/club concerts can sometimes be the best, Hunters and collectors at the Court house in Port Douglas or the Screaming jets at the Playpen in Cairns were bloody good shows.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards was a amazing performance. But for me the worst concert i have been to was easily Guns and Roses when they came here a few years back absolute ****.

How about you guys what's the best and worst you have seen?

Diana Ross would have to be the "worst" I've ever been to, she mimed

The "best" would have been "The Eurythmics" they were brilliant

My "favourite" would have to be "Barry White" live . I've been to many of his concerts here there and everywhere, his 44 piece orchestra could lift the roof off many buildings and his presence and charisma on stage was unbelievable.

On another note disco man, I had the privilege of attending a BBQ that Nick Mason was also attending. What a nice man Unfortunately I didn't have my album with me to get signed.

You lucky lucky bastard!!! i would give one of my kidneys to meet Nick Mason he was the whole reason i started playing drums.Every interview i have seen he comes across as a proper gentleman not stuck up in anyway, the book he wrote Inside out the history of Pink Floyd was well written also Into the red a book about his car collection.

How did you come to meet him mate?

What bands were in the Australian made tour? And yes old Doc has certainly lost his vocals,he was on rockwiz the other week and he sounded like crap.
Dave Gleeson out front of the Angels is doing a good job.

Its a shame when they keep going after the best is behind them.I took the old girl to see Fleetwood Mac about 10 years ago and Stevie Nicks ain't got the voice she used to or Lindsay Buckingham for that matter.I guess 30 years of cocaine will do that for you.

big scale concert would have to be ac/dc @ the entertainment center many years ago was by far the best produced concert i have ever been to. sound quality, props, and the canons!

jimmy barnes was the worst big scale concert i ever had the displeasure of going to...

small scale pub concert it is a toss up between ivers davies ice house and billy thorpe... billy thorpe cause the man knew how to rock the ****ing house down and ice house for truly splendid reproduction of their recorded sound..

Karnivool did an acoustic set in support of another Perth band's album release. They used a different name ("Themata") but it was a pretty badly kept secret. Small venue, very intimate, phenomenal gig.

Also saw Opeth a few years back, stunning musicianship. I rate that one very highly.
Took mum to Crowded House playing in support of their last album, was outdoors with the picnic rugs etc had a great time.
Black Sabbath last year, didn't know what to expect (and didn't think I would ever get to see them) but it was bloody excellent!

Worst gig? No such thing if you drink enough

    Best = Clapton. Because Clapton.

Worst = Badloves reboot a couple of years back. Spiby was ripped off his chops and could barely string a sentence together. Shame because they were a great live band in their day.
