I believe Hitler used to make jokes about the clouds he saw being the Jews being blown away. Not funny at all.
    Godwin's Law?

Godwin's Law (or Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies) is an Internet adage asserting that "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1"? that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler or Nazism.

Racist jokes are punching down, not too different from bullying. They are usually funny to those with the greater privilege. They are rarely funny to the people they're aimed at.

That's funny, actually. But I introduced it early in the discussion.

how does that work if i post an aussie joke.

If it takes an IQ of 60 to tie shoelaces, why do so many Australians wear thongs?

Aussie jokes are still punching down on someone - it's just that victim is one of us, so that's like schoolyard bullying, I guess - also funny until it's your kids getting bullied, when it become unacceptable.

PS: Isn't that a Kiwi joke about us Aussies?

i dont agree jokes are bullying.
sometimes it is, depending on the intent.
    and bullying is not acceptable
is the joke meant as humor or is it meant to ridicule. big difference.

most aussie jokes are made by kiwi's i suspect.

so, after reading back a bit , is it offensive to say the rhyme eeny meeny miny moe , catch a ****** by the toe etc....when picking out something random?

and what about my 100yo little black cast iron figurine (a picanninny in fact) that is my front door stop?

should I remove it from public view?
