Regardless of what happens to the program titled "Top Gear", the biggest question is which commercial UK network will pick Clarkson up. He has existed in the very protected non-commercial bubble of the BBC where he could poke fun at any and every brand with impunity.
Yes, the BBC have done the proper & ethical thing by terminating his contract but they were perhaps the only mouthpiece Clarkson could effectively use to sprout his brand of humour unbeholden to commercial interests.
