Top Gear is IMO the best motoring program on TV closely followed by 5th gear.
Clarkson is a very funny man but has said some stupid **** in the past but that is part of the Clarkson package. The fact he doe's speak his mind is so refreshing in a world of scripted political correctness lets not offend anyone TV.
He also isn't shy about taking the **** out of himself. There is no way that was a direct racist comment. The fact that we are talking about this just shows how **** weak society has become.
Yer people need to get over it, I certainly don't take offense to his comments about, Australia being the third world or comments about everyone being called Bruce, or saying were all permanent drunks. It's good tv fun people need to not watch if they don't like it.

Christ all mighty, he got banned from a country for being himself, his whole charisma and popularity is based taking the **** out of everyone and thing. Look at how the 3 of them constantly rip each other.
As far as I'm concerned if people get offended by either him or them then they are doing a great job because the world is far far to bloody serious
Lucky the person he offended didn't see his 2002 TV series. Jeremy Clarkson : Meets the neighbours. Or are they only picking on him now due to the HUGE popularity of Top Gear?
If you like Jeromy Clarkson and like Top Gear , or any of his shows come to that , when he makes a comment , It should be taken with tongue in cheek . It seems to me a lot of people get upset these days for simple bits of humor , If you don't like him fare enough don't watch him . I saw this a few weeks ago It was an actress that made the complaint to the BBC she wanted him sacked , plus the BBC to pull the show off the air . She was going to sue the BBC be interesting to see how It goes !!..
Yeah, Clarkson is a showman. He deliberately provokes a reaction to keep people listening. Its better than being boring.
The more he apologises the worse he makes himself sound.

I like political incorrectness. We've gone too far the other way.
I've been watching Tour of Duty recently (I happened to notice it was starting with the pilot episode). I liked the show when it was on decades ago.
"******, spook, spic, gook, and slope" are terms used quite a lot. But there's no foul language. I find the racist terms a lot less offensive than the usual foul language one has to so often put up with on TV these days.
