My D2 Did Me Proud Today

Did a day trip today into the Strathbogie Ranges. We had showers of rain during the day so some tracks were a bit wet and slippery.

On this trip was two Asian vehicles, my son LRDan, P38, Crash in his D2 and myself D2.

We came upon a deep hole full of water followed by a steep departure. The first Asian vehicle got hopelessly stuck, so winched himself through. Next was Crash in his D2 who also got stuck. (see photo number 3 in post number 5)

Next was the 2nd Asian vehicle. Same as first hopelessly bogged. By now the first had turned around to winch the rest who did not have one.

Then came the P38 which was at this point doing the best unaided attempt, until he snapped a CV joint.

By this time about an hour and a half later it was my turn. The rest of the group were waiting with the recovery gear and discussing that I had no hope.

So along I come and and went straight through. I showed em Apart from the P38 it was a fun day.

    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Few quick snaps from my phone. The slush where Digga is winching is the hole that claimed the vehicles.

    That is quite the Hole!
As mentioned, looks like the Rain has played it's role.

Sorry, should say the puddle/slush bottom left is what claimed the vehicles initially, then the hole

I made a mistake in my OP which has been rectified. It was a previous spot that we were able to push Crash's D2. His is the one in pic three, post number five..

My D2 is the one with the roof tent.

Not working today Danny? Good photos you have posted.

Here is a pic of LRDan's p38 CV
