Daly Waters.
Spot on Jon. Any one else want to add to the quiz, go for it, Bob
Believe it or not Daly Waters. In 1926, it was used in the London to Sydney air race. In 1930, Amy Johnson called into Daly waters on her historic flight, and on 17 April 1935 Qantas landed there as a scheduled fuel stop, , with its first load of paying passengers among them Lady Edwina Mountbatten , Lord Mountbattens wife. In 1937 Guinea Airlines commenced a service thru there on its flights between Adelaide & Darwin & in 1938 a Dutch airline began a service via Daly Waters from Batavia to Sydney
