he is just cutting out the rust.............
he didnt like his landy because it wouldnt rust and got rid of it when he got his brand new gas axe.

I once read a 4WD monthly article on used defenders, suprise was it was written by Roothy and he gave them a glowing report saying that they were the most capable 4WD around. He had the usual dig at the ergonomics though.
What is it with ergonomics these day??? Everyone is going soft.
4x4 Australia just gave the nod to the 78 series over the Defender on the basis of ergonomics!!!! This from what is meant to be a credible 4x4 mag?
Unless you are 6"4 you are not going to have too many problems, in fact, you will have the same problem in the Troopie. Yeah the Defender has some annoyances, but they are not show stoppers unless you have a completely different set of expectations and criteria.
I think that too many people just expect Toyota to win pretty much any comparison. If it's a close contest the Toyota will get it because that's what's expected. Did you see the complaints in 4WD monthly that the 100 series didn't even make it into the contest?

The reason given was that it was in the same class as the Nissan but couldn't stack up to it, therefore did not make it.
Thay all wnated it there because it's a cruiser. :roll:
