Blue Bushranger - seen it?

Over the last two weeks, I have seen a blue Bushrangie/ranger around.
First saw in in the city two weeks ago, then last Wed outside Grahme Cooperss then, and this is the funny bit, last Fri it appeared to be broken down on Link Rd at Rosebery. This is all in Sydney. The guy was standing beside it and looked like his daughter was asleep in the vehicle, as you would waiting for a repairer to arrive who probably doesn't want to touch it!
Has anyone seen this thing around?

Hi Damo,

When I commuted from St Leonards to Drummoyne occasionally I used to see a blue one in traffic with a for sale sign on River Rd.

you'd expect the owner of one of those would be into his rovers too.
Wonder if it's someone here not wanting to say they broke down

Yeah, we all break down in our rover's. My last one was a ripper!
Give it a couple of days and someone will say it's never happened to them.

rangie

it was probably the one owner by one of the blokes at traction 4 in artamon. i think his name is richard? anyway my mechanics tell me he sold it recently which would explain recent sightings. i think it was featured in a 4wdmonthly about a year ago in an article about the t4 4wd club.

seen a few around the northside. there's usually one that frequents traction 4 at artarmon and a while ago there used to be a green one on the northern beaches that had an aluminium ute tray on the back, this was slightly longer than the normal ones.

Think I remember that article, and the vehicle.

I remember showing a old mate some photo's of one of these in action, he was rightly impressed.

Then I told him it was a Landrover unit.

For hours after he swore he wasnt all that impressed as he seemed to be.
Never saw someone change so quick.

Then he went home in his JEEP

Don't ya just love that reaction, last time I got that one was when I told a mate he'd just been enjoying a feed of roo meat from a dog food pack. He loved it and told me repeatedly till told him what it was.
