Today the Scottish community had a pipe and drum band march through the city center,And the clans displayed their tartans very proudly.I must admit i find the sound of a pipe and drum band very stirring and it always brings deep emotions.The North Queensland sunshine seemed a odd setting compared to where the pipe and drum bands first came from.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the people that made up the band and to the high land dancers that put on a awesome performance today.The pride in the Scottish community is always great to see.
