    Key Safe

In my case a MY15 Defender, but generally applicable.

Does anyone know of a keysafe that can be say riveted under the car, for when i lose the main set 5 miles from woop woop.

If the key & fob have been in there for an extended period, will they work, or will they sulk, which i seem to recall vaguely.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Not exactly what you're after, but this is what I have, used mostly at the beach, not long term key storage.

I just google key safe and the first thing that comes up is a youtube video showing how easy it is to open a quality locally sold keysafe with just a pointer :roflmao: I was thinking "what a ripper idea" until I saw the video

An old tobacco tin riveted under the car will almost do what i want to do, may not be durable though

I had a set just sitting up there on I think it was the brake line until the mechanic removed it thinking he was doing me a favour. Any lockable till will need a code not a key, in case you lose THAT key as well

I actually ordered a MY14, but LR production efficiency turned it into a MY15, 9 July build, 2 days after the changeover I believe. , so I went the hog with the silver pack & fancy seats,( my back is a good excuse)
