I personally fail to see how rugby league has been bought into disrepute. The club, sure , they can ask as many questions as they like, and by his lack of legal action his contract must be very specific on his behaviour.

From my simple mind, the only person he has harmed is himself, people are still going to turn up to games, so the game hasn't been affected 1 bit.

From his club point of view, put it to the members, if they say they will abandon the club if he stays then fair call.

As I said earlier, I don't follow league , so couldn't care less, but personally someone driving drunk is far more serious in my eyes, but haven't seen any contracts torn up over that.

    Cheers Ean
Yep and one of the reasons he was sacked by one of the previous clubs he was in, so any slip ups again and he was out, he's been given numerous chances and still he does stupid things, was this minor, yes, but, he was warned, I guess they have had enough of his stupidity.

Personally I couldn't care less, just another stupid League player.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Its a good job social media wasn't around when we were lads playing team sports.

Even so, I only ever played amateur team sport, so any indiscretions on my part weren't that newsworthy (it was all fish and chip paper the next day anyway). Whereas, professional sports people are expected to uphold completely different standards - and rightly so - their livelihood depends on it and they set the example to kids. They have a brand to manage, for themselves, for their employer and for the sport.

Wonder how Carney will sustain his lifestyle now.

Confirms my opinion about rugby and all who make these clowns heros.
And don't call them sportsmen, they are professional entertainers.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Well, I guess if you were to follow Carneys example, you wouldn't need to get out of bed on a cold night....

That's a big call. An uninformed one as well. The point you seem to have missed is, this craze was started by some one unknown, in a night club in Melbourne. And now , young people from all walks of life are doing the " bubbler". Yes Carney is a loose cannon, but he would be a loose cannon , no matter what profession he was in. Do you know what your children/ grand children are up to, when out on the town? [ I'm assuming you have children/ grand children, apologies if not so] Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
