Why the jeep hate? I ran out of fuel in the 2013 defender and it took the land rover tech two hours to get it to start and then an hours worth of driving it in limp mode before it allowed me to drive normally...

Yeh because Land Rovers fall apart every day don't they .I don't mind if things go wrong,it happens,it's the way manufacturers deal with the problem thats important, one area Land Rover excel. Pat

A friends brother in law, a longtime jeep tragic, bought a brand new grand cherokee, was not impressed when within the first couple of weeks, it simply shut down dead on the highway, no power, nothing.... not the most entertaining of things in the middle of the summer with a very young baby in the car....
I know a dozen Jeep owners, hardly an once of trouble with them,it's the dealers/Jeeps fault in this case, they should have just fixed his vehicle. Pat

They do it on purpose,I drove an NRMA tilt tray for 3 months in NSW,I was told to take my time for people who left their lights on,ran out of fuel or locked their keys in the car. Pat

Always two sides to the story. He did not say what any of the problems where. Have been looking for a new car for the mrs lately and reading all the reviews and from what I have seen is you only here from the few people that have had problems and not from the many that have had none.

If you go to his website he does list what the faults were/are. I had a look yesterday
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Well that sucks. People make mistakes.

Mine was due to a servo being out of diesel and me not wanting to carry spare inside the vehicle when I didn't have the trailer on.

Sure, it was a mistake and I got stuck on the side of the road with a 7 year old daughter in howling winter wind. I had already caught a taxi into lithgow, bought a 5L fuel can and put that in it, but apparently the computer won't let it restart unless it gets at least 20L. At least according to the tech.

Bloody high and mighty morons casting judgment and their own brand of punishment on people who are PAYING their wage for that very service.

    ^^^ +1

If the standing instructions are words to the effect of "let them suffer" that's pretty horrible. Then again, NRMA roadside assist subscriptions and revenue are falling. Correlation, Cause, Effect. Who knows...

Back on topic, some ideas. I'm impressed this Jeep stood up to this beating:

Don't worry mate your not alone, the most common reasons for being called out was for running out of fuel, locking the keys in the car, flat battery after leaving the lights on. Pat
