This is a joke right??? Most landrover purchasers would be happy if these were the only faults they had...

    Q. What has gone wrong with your Jeep?
    A. Please don't get me started...actually too late. here goes...Fuel Line fell off (at the time of getting handover in the showroom!), Loss of all climate controls (twice), Rattling in drivers door, Clock couldn't keep the correct time (for 2 years!), Bash plate hanging off, Turbo inlet manifold cracked (towtruck required), Rain sensor failed, Major coolant leak inside vehicle (towtruck required), External mirrors getting loose all the damn time (special screws so I can't even tighten them myself if I wanted to!), Ignition failure (towtruck required), Faulty seat belt tensioner, Heater exchange cracked behind dashboard, Starter motor intermittently running after the engine has started (has been replaced but keeps doing it), Drivetrain Control error (towtruck required), wipers intermittently coming on when driving in dry conditions, Rear strut leaking oil and had to be replaced... see why we want to burn it?

I can remember when I was driving tow trucks about 4 years ago towing a late model jeep into a dealer in s e Melbourne the mechanics laughed about it being back and asked if I could just drop it off the bridge on the island next time !

We should pass around the hat at AULRO. Surely we would all love to see one less jeep on the road.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Gav. You mentioning this reminded me about "Drive Safe's" RR. If the Jeep bloke is successful I reckon Tim should have a crack with his RR.

Serves him right for buying a jeep....

One of the local mechanics traded his HSV in on a brand new jeep, less than 300km later the "check engine" light came on, plugged the scantool in as soon as he got back to town, phoned jeep with the trouble code, they said to take it for a run on the highway at 100km... thats when he told them it started on the highway at 100km/h..... and had restricted itself to only 60km/h....

A friends brother in law, a longtime jeep tragic, bought a brand new grand cherokee, was not impressed when within the first couple of weeks, it simply shut down dead on the highway, no power, nothing.... not the most entertaining of things in the middle of the summer with a very young baby in the car....
