seems wierd quoting myself ,but the problem ended up being part of a valve body in the fuel bowl came loose "letting copious amounts of fuel thru",so carby has been changed ,but still not quite rite ,am contemplating a twin barrel weber as found on early two litre cortinas, has anyone had any experience with them on landy motors?

    8) g'day al, a mate is putting that 2 litre cortina engine in a mk 1 escort with that carb. i believe that carb gave some problems with the brass inlet tube coming loose and resultant blackness of the car, evidently they stake the body to pipe to stop that, i thought you could just put a strap of tin between the inlet and outlet hose clamps.
i know nothing else about that carby.

    8) and full credit to naming 'moby dick' goes to unca' inc.

well freno it does look like a white whale, shame the auto correct wipes out 'ic' as moby dick was the whales real name, and not rude in any way.

imagine moby dick on the beach at fraser, might get a cuddle from migaloo, or cause a mass stranding.

moby dick and doris on the beach - bring on the quick tan lotion
