Hmm, that would be a bloody good one for those non-disabled mongrels who park in disabled parking spots.

I wish I'd thought of that recently when I saw a young blole park in one then run in to the shopping centre. I had considered getting side cutters and cutting all 4 valve stems off.

    Next time.

hey....i park in seniors parking when i go to hurstville shopping centre.

i feel old ........dunno if that counts but....

i cant fit in the proper section of car park due to height clearances, the only level i could fit has now become a seniors parking cos there are no steps into the centre. i only go there if i absolutely have to now cos i feel so slack taking up one of those spots.

why cant they have defender parking? or arent we meant to shop?

Don't you get it zook, you defender drivers are supposed to be tough, you should be self sufficient.

When I drove Landie lightweights there were a couple of classic trips.

    1. Drive along with a newbie.
    2. Newbie wants to drive.
    3. Say "oh, no you can't handle it"
    4. Argument goes on. You relent eventually, but as you get out of the Landie you sneak the fuel selector to halfway between tanks :-)
    5. Newbie has enough fuel for 1-2 minutes of driving.
    6. Engine cuts.
    7. You get out, sigh, open the bonnet, rub your head, then rub battery hard to transfer static electricity to battery so it will start the car :-)
    8. Newbie says that's stupid, it won't work.
    9. You ignore newbie, get in, switch fuel selector, and of course it starts.
    10. Complete journey, hand Landie to newbie while flicking fuel selector.
    11. Newbie is seen with bonnet up frantically rubbing head then battery.

    :-)

And the evergreen "leave the transfer case in neutral" trick.

I did exactly the same thing, but in the NSW Parliament car park.

I smashed every fluoro until an irate security women came running down screaming for me to stop. UHF aerials on a 130 roof ain't good for carparks -- the amazing thing was that the antennae was fine.
