Potential day trip over Christmas break

Howdy Folks

I will be staying with the in-laws down on the sunny Central Coast of NSW over the Xmas break and I will be looking for any excuse at all to go on an outing hopefully somewhere nearby.

I am aware that the Watagans Forest area is good for an easy to medium trip.

Is there anyone who knows this region that may have previously blazed a trail through the area that would be interested in getting together for a day out :?: :?: :?:

There may be the potential for a group of us to get together ?

I am sitting here with my Gregory's 4WD Weekends book and it does have a trip through there, so if worst came to worst I will just have to go by myself

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers
Dave

Disco95 just went on a trip through there with the 4wd monthly boys. I would be interested, but i can really commit to anything with a baby on the way and not actually knowing if the other half would let me go, but keep me posted on the details and the date. Matt

I may be interested, depending on where we are.
Here's a link to the thread in here on the trip we did. There's some details of tracks we took and photos. There's a good range of tracks there from very difficult to easy, I did the tracks on here in a stock disco. I was only stopped at the top of the zig zag track but it took some creative driving to get through some of the other bits.

Was it creative because you ripped half you rear bumper of to lighten the weight over the rear wheels and improve departure angle. Matt

I thought I'd put the list of tracks we did on the other thread, but on closer inspection I see that's not the case.
Here they are.

Watagan forest road
Daniels point road
Maculata road
Unnamed side track
The Zig Zag (not marked on maps)
Lunch
Whitemans ridge road
Watagan forest road again
Tunks fire trail
Jilliby road (tar)
Yambo forest road
Lemon tree road
Plank hill road
Cut rock road (not marked on maps)
Burnt bridge road
Exit for some people (sauls road)
Cut rock forest road
Cooranbong trig
Exit Matthews valley road

Lucky you maggot.
