A Public thank you

I would just like to go on record with the following thank you..

Over the last four months I have been waiting for my Landy to be delivered to OZ and clear customs... (the short version is posted on another thread) I finally got to see it again on Monday(with added panel damage from shipping ) and I have to say a huge thank you to Rocket at this point, for transporting me all round Brisbane, helping reassemble it and getting me all the way back across Brisbane ( I don't recomend driving accross Brisbane with the door tops off and the sides rolled up, IN A FREAKING HAIL/RAIN STORM) and for using his extensive knowledge and know how to get my Landy RWCed and Regoed with very little hastle.. All I need to do now is get all the damage fixed, the trailer wired up, CORRECTLY..!!! and buy a new FIRE EXTINGUISHER..!!!! 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

We used to own a caravan park in coffs, when i was about 6-7, dad had an old series three troopy (about this time i became infected with the land rover bug, havent been able to kick that infection since, mind you who'd want to, ok back to the story), it was about 2 in the morning one night when there was a knock on the door and a woman from one of the vans closest to our house was in histerics, "youre land rover is on fire, youre land rover is on fire' dad grabbed the extinguisher and put the fire out. It turned out there was a wiring short behind the dash. $30 later we had a new dash from the wreckers and she was as good as knew. Matt

    No I wouldn't. (and whatever are you on about ? :? )

I do, however, carry a fire extinguisher, in the even there is a problem.
It's certainly not carried for Toyoats drivers - I let 'em burn....

You most certainly wouldnt do that with a disco, i would hate to think how much a new dash would cost for a disco.

Do you carry marshmallows in the event of a toyo fire? lol Matt

I usially carry a tin of fuel and a box of matches in case there isn't a toyo fire.

Thae fire behind the dash bit happened to me in my first series 2, fortunately I was in the car, and had an extinguisher with me. Didn't cost me $30 to fix though, I just started her up and drove off

I did eventually do the wiring but not for some months.
