Hey ace, you prepare your vehicle properly and you shouldn't have any problems with wet electricals. Granted a diesel will run underwater, but the petrol engine isn't as afraid of water as most like to think.

How deep do you think you could wade if you had a snorkel, before wet electrics stopped you? Jason wouldave been fine had he not gotten stuck on the rut and given the water time to get in, mind you he wasnt really in that deep, only the side holding the ecu was in deep, the motor itself was dry. As to this whole snorkel debate - why not seal the seat box where the ecu is and pipe it into the snorkel as well.
