Mine is great and they also look identical to the Dr Air 150L which won the 4WD test a while ago.
    Mine also only cost $99.
I have mine plumbed into a 9L RRC airbag tank, and it doesn't get hot doing 6 tyres from 15 to road pressures.
    A RARE WIN !

PS - Aldi have 20 ltr steel jerries and 600W inverter

20 ltr steel jerry can military style fastener - $20
    600w inverter - $60
    at Leichhardt Aldi.

Jerryd - I have the Ironman equivalent. It takes about 1 min for the first tyre from 15 psi to 35 psi. 2nd tyre about 1m20s, 3rd tyre about 2 min. I haven't used the twin cylinder design but as PhilipA said it's the same design as the Dr Air that came out on top of a 4wd Action comparo not too long ago. I abuse mine rolling around loose in the rear of the truck and it's holding up well.

the $99 story is that it was a mis stock, the came out at $130ish with a clearance price of $99 for left over stock (aldi price drop old catalog prices after 2 weeksish on specialist items) when a stock run was done 2ish months later they listed in at the clearance price. (so sayeth the duty manager at my local aldi when I queried the price difference on this run VS the $130ish run now.)
Here's the link to the current catalogue. It is clearly priced at $99.99. Maybe Aldi doesn't know your local is charging another $30 (managerial bonus?).

Got one of these at Aldi Carindale (Bris) for the $99 advertised price! Tried it out today! 10 PSI to 30 PSI in 60 seconds! I'm sold. Very (very) similar looking unit currently in SCAs we catalog for $250. Works a treat! Very pleased.

Only one hassle so far, the gauge is crap. Doesn't read right at all. Will call the hotline or take back and swap over. Has 1 year warranty. :-) hooray Aldi!

I was talking about the orginal second run...

they first ran at $139 or something like that and sold like hot cakes with the winches.

leftover stock was ment to be sold off at $99

next run was ment to be $139 again but it keyed in at $99 and sold like hotcakes with maple syrup and cream so its stayed $99.

Bought one on Thurs night. Aldi at Keperra still had a pile of them at $99.
15" trailer tyre, still on the trailer, trailer full to the gunwhales with dirt, took just over 60s from dead flat to what the guage said was 40psi!
    Maybe will do ok.

    Cheers

But realistically, would an Aldi item do the same job nearly as good ??
Got one of these - it runs rings around any cheap compressor I have seen, and also runs rings around units that cost a lot more. Mine has done duty recently through the Kimberly - looking after the air requirements for 3 4WD's, and everyone was super impressed and ended up buying themselves one each.

Having said that, the Aldi job sounds ok too - I may even go and get one myself for a spare...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

    ALDI compressors on sale again

The 150L ALDI compressor will be on sale again next saturday 16/8/2014 for $99. This compressor is physically similar to the Dr Air compressor which won the 4WD Australia compressor shootout .
I bought one 2 years ago and it has been excellent.
They have lots more stuff on sale again including the $399 winch and jerry cans .
They are a bit slow on posting the list on line but it should be on soon, however the catalogues are at stores today.
    Regards Philip A
