Rain???![]()
Not particularily near my place, i have a mate in merriwa and we go shooting on his 1500acre property and regularily leave after a nights shooting with a head count of between 25 and 35, plus numerous rabbits and foxes. Havent seen many on the road for ages, not since we got some decent rain and the feed in the paddocks keeps them off the road side. There are a few dead ones around though, the trucks keep the road clear for us. Matt

Any close in work for the foxes and rabbits (shottie) or can you only get em from a distance. :?:Originally posted by Ace

Nah, dont use a shotty, firstly i dont have one, my mate does, but we dont use it anyway. The rabbits and foxes just nick off before you can get close enough to them. If we went out during the day we might get them with the shotty (not the foxes, bastards are to smart) but we go out at night, if we are close enough the .22 is god, but the .223 is more fun. My mates .243 is even better. Matt

Yeah i reckon the .303 would make short work of a rabbit or fox, the .243 cuts them in half. Matt

I'll use FMJ ammo so as not to be in breech of the Geneva Convention.

Bugger the geneva convention, i just get any ammo as long as it kills rabbits, roos, foxes, and jahovas witnesses. MattOriginally posted by VladTepes
