So why didn't you get the dealer to fix the rust prevention system TDI :?:
Seriously though, mine's got 4, inlet manifold, steering pump transfer case and rear diff.
I'll get round to fixing them soon, one thing at a time. Got my new shocks today so fitted them this evening. The old ones might as wel have not been there at all for all the good they did. I could push them in extremely easily.
What shocks did you get disco?
I hope you can make it up for the weekend hiline, it would be good to put a face to the name. Good luck with the 130. Matt
G'day ace, I got bilstiens, yes you read that right, bilstiens. HSVrangie had them on the forum for $250 WOOHOO :!: bargain I say :!: Only problem, one rear was missing a top rubber, had to manufacture one myself, and had trouble removing the front top mounts. Actually had to grind half the nut off the passenger side one to get it off the tower :!: 8O
Did 600 kays this weekend and I'm rapt, no more squeeks from the back, and the annoying knocking when going over bumps is gone, she doesn't feel so skittish on corners.
For the first time the dogs didn't get car sick, nor did the missus
I think i will go with the Bilsteins, i am going to get the disco 2" lift springs from British 4wd, and Bilsteins to go with them.
Diffs are easy, have done 2 now, although they were in an escort. Pretty much the same principle. Matt
