And the cost of the rescue? Knowing what an R44 Robinson cost to run I reckon that rescue chopper would be upwards of 2K an hour.

Sorry, but that entire thing is unforgivable on the part of the driver. The vehicle isn't even fitted with a snorkel.
Maybe there's merit in having everyone who buys a 4wd having to do some sort of a course so they actually KNOW what they can/can't or shouldn't do?
