Is that to convince his passenger :?:
or maybe himself as well
Perhaps his passenger is Medic455 and he's just stepped out of a Poo-trol.
Now there seems to be some confustion here, land rover built 3 FC land rovers.
The series 2A FC, on a 109 wheelbase. Civilian model, as picured in the link I posted.
The series 2B FC, on a 110 wheelbase. Civilian model, very similar to the one abovel
the 101 which is what we have a picture of above which was built soley for the military.

All Forward Controls have that body shape ( or very similar) ?????
Davo
Land Rover's first forward control was based on the Series IIA's 109 inch chassis and was launched in 1962 in response to customers' demand for a greater pay load. But it was desperatelty underpowered untill 1966, when a 2.6lt 6 cylinder petrol engine replaced the 2.25 original. This necessitated lenghthening the chassis an inch and the revised model was called the Series IIB. It sold in small numbers untill it was discontinued in 1973. By then, a new foward control was in the pipeline, utilising the 3.5Lt V8 installed in the range rover. But this one was aimed squarely at the military market and would be known as the 101 Forward Control. Production began in 1975 and ended in 1978.
There is my little history lesson for the day. Matt
