Wanted Dead

Just came back from a visit to our daughter in Gayndah. Walking to get the paper, as you do, checked out the local notice board. A dogger has a course for locals, to identify dog presence, & teach how to trap them. hands on, in the bush. All practical stuff. Not enough time for me this time, but next time up, going to have a talk to him , go on one of those courses. Had lunch on Saturday at the tree, 1770. Changed a bit since I was last there, but still good. Did about 2500 kms, my D2 didn't miss a beat. There must have been a Toyota comp somewhere, on the way home ,passed 9 of them on the side of the road, failure to proceed. on their behalf, they looked like they had a tough weekend. Pretty cruel how they catch the dogs in western Qld.

Give a bitch a shot that brings her on heat,put her in a cage,set numerous traps in the same area.

Not very nice,but saves the lives of many sheep.Also saves a lot of cruelty to the sheep as the dog or dogs usually dismember many and leave them to die a very slow death.

As for cats,we generally use a .222 on them.
A good dog also helps,shooting them out of a tree is easy.
If in an open paddock,they can only run about 100ft,then they are completely exhausted.
But using a dog is very risky due to the 1080 baiting that goes on in most country areas,unless the dog is used to having a muzzle fitted.

So you have done the road to Woodgate/Bundaberg ?
My first place was North Isis Road which is the one that start front ot the Shell garage . About 6 km for town.
Nice place Childers it have everything for a small place :)

We went up the Sth. Isis from Ban Ban, took the Booyal -Dallarnil rd, cut out Childers, left the Hwy. Nth of Gin Gin, took the dirt roads around Monduran to one tree hill, connecting to the Bundy. Agnes rd. about 3/4 of the way along it. Good drive, but glad we had the GPS. An old wooden bridge over the Kolan had to be bypassed, lucky it was dry. Surprised at the amount of land clearing along the way, acres of trees knocked down. Great lunch at 1770, still a beautiful spot, pity they bitumined the road, though. Lot of people there. Bob

If that's the bridge at Smiths Crossing, I was told a while ago that there was no plan to repair it even though it was the school bus route, which now means any school kiddies in the area have to make their way to the main road.

Yes, I know that road well :)
During the real estate boom the prices in 1770 when far to high and lots of people lots heaps of money.
I do not know what it is the situation now.
Woodgate is one of the best beaches in the area and also RE prices went to high.

This is the same brain dead foolishness that Leichhardt Council did with the feral cats living in the derilect buildings in Callan Park. These cats were killing native birds, lizards and other animals.

Me too, I love cats. I cannot understand peoples hatred for them. A pet cat is a beautiful animal.

My two are constrained to a cat run attached to the house. This is for their protection, not the wildlife's. On odd occasions they bring a bird into the house that has strayed into their cage.
