cant argue with any of that. I'm a big (as opposed to BBBIIIGGG :D) Glenn Miller fan too and I still think the songs from the Glenn Miller Band are some of the smoothest songs ever written

Good on you, it will be a fantastic experience. You are welcome to contact me any time.
If both of you like nature then go to the tip of South America (Argentina and Chile) you will love Perito Moreno and the Glaziers.
Half of my roots are in Argentina, in the province of Neuquen and in BA.
Become a member of the Argentinian Land rover club, they have a site on the web. Also register in the Expedition Portal which IMO it is the best site for information about international expeditions.
I have a look the video that you have attached, I follow more the old style like the one form Sebastian Arce, Chicho Frumboli, etc.
Glen Miller, a man's best friend, back in the day, ;) Bob

You o not like Art Blakey? He and Ginger Baker were fine drummers IMHO.
Talking about Krupa, his performance in The Orignal Benny Goodman Quartet 1973-Sing, Sing, Sing was nothing less than amazing considering how ill with leukemia and hearth condition. Was one of his last performances before he died.
All of the above, will check out the Argentine LR club, [ hope they like cut & paste] Yes, a little bit raunchy, the colonial dance, but.... it's still Tango. cheers , I am in the expedition portal, have been for a while, slowly building up knowledge, prior preparation prevents poor performance, so they say. Bob
Pack your port, mate we are all in this together, to hell with the rubbish going on in the World at the moment, Bob

Going by the posts here I can see that all of you have a nice taste for music .
Have ant of you follow Richard Galliano?
He is a virtuoso accordion player who pay jazz, classic, and Piazzolla.
For Manouche Jazz do a search of Galliano with Birelli
For violin and accordion do a search of him with Sébastien Surel
And for the Piazzolla concert (more than one hour of awesome performance) search for Piazzolla for Ever.
Enjoy :)
