Nice, I have had a Series III XJ6 Soveriegn and my Dad has the same model as yours XJ6 Soveriegn. I prefer the series III body shape and lights but I have always wanted a V12.
They are a great car to drive, you will love it.
Thanks again all for the comments.
Hi Andrew
Gliptone liquid leather conditioner. I bought a large 1l bottle from Roadbend Jaguar in Welshpool. Also got a small bottle of the matching cleaner. Gliptone is one of a couple of brands that is recommended on the classic car forums. It also has a nice leathery smell to it :D:D
Thanks Pickles2
Yep it's a 6l. By my research there were only 4,000 or so made (including Daimlers) and only a dozen or so made it to Australia. The car has done 110k and has a great service history. Log book full of stamps, original sales invoice and most invoices from 1997 onwards.
X2 V8Ian's comment. I just couldn't do such a thing as that engine is the heart and essence of the car:):)
Cheers
Steve
Yes, it looks lovely, you've done well.
I'm not super familiar with Jaguars etc, but I think Daimler also bought out something similar,....a "Double Six", or a "Vanden Plas", or something like that.
Anyway, as far as these things go, I reckon the 6L V12 engine was the pinnacle,....as long as they're well maintained.
Pickles.
Absolutely stunning vehicle, very well done. Everyone has a 'dream car garage' that lovely cat would park next to the Rolls Royce Phantom in mine. You lucky man:D
