Yes, it was. There were a few snakes about but I didn't see any. I did see a big goanna next to my tent as well as a lot of water dragons near my tent and in the water. And, yes, Ian, I do have pix!

Myself,wife and daughter were regulars at Reef Beach in the 70's & early 80's before moving to Qld,I used to work 4pm-12pm shift,and was on the beach and listening to the radio when we heard of the Bold St Bridge train accident, I packed up and went into work as there were a few day shift people that commuted down from the west,I remember taking my portable TV into work that day.
I WAS the Killer Rabbit for a while but some one has bought out the Holy Hand grenade & counted to Thrice, not 2 or 1 but 3 & I have returned to being a master.
Pity I was so busy at work I sort of missed it, Such is the life of a Killer Rabbit.
