I dug up my front lawn and replaced it with gravel as we had Range Rovers and Hillman cars - all British - so the grass wasn't surviving anyway.

Mine is stone. However the father Inlaws is brick pave, and oil drips shows up very well on his cream brick [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] He keeps commenting on the stains expecting me to say something. I have severely chastised myself and taken six of the best with a wet lettuce leaf :!: :!:

So what should I make my driveway out of then :?:
I need a solid/smooth (ish) surface so gravel etc is no good.
I was thinking of plain concrete but stains will still show up.
Does 'Jetpave' paint come in "Land Rover Oil" colour :?:

Concrete, with a metal drip tray. Just make sure you always park over it. Because the day you park off the tray is the day a major oil leak will occur [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

theres always that smooth polished cement used in garages.
oil wipes off with a rag and a drop of kero....but.....


its bloody slippery when its wet.

another other option is to place a piece of lino on the ground with a paving pattern similar to your driveway.

or invest in some type of sealer to seal the pores in the concrete.
paint will chip and flake off...especially if you use a trolley jack on it.
and then thats if the paint sticks in the first place...its best applied to new concrete.



workshops now have some type of industrial tiles which dont break too easy, but again slippery when wet.....
