I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

You mix good single malt scotch with Coke ?

The things I need to say to that might belong in some other section....

I'd love to find a good scotch that I find enjoyable without any mixer.

I was once told that it was sacrilege to mix anything with Glenfiddich. So I bought a bottle of the stuff to see if it was something I could get to like.

About the only way that I could palate the stuff was mixed with methylated spirits (or kero, or mineral turps) with a bit of nugget thrown in for colour ................
    Cheers .........

Laphroaig, or any of the Islay single malts. A very different flavour to Glenfiddich or the other Speyside whiskys. I'm not a big fan of scotch, but the Islay whiskys are something else - a very peaty, smokey flavour instead of the lowland stuff which tastes like metho to me.

    Cheers,
    Jon

The Islay style single malts to me taste like salty metho. ...

Personally I reckon a good drop of Irish whisky is something quite special.

Given they invented the stuff and the Scotts just copied it I guess they should be able to make it. ...

How come so many of you are familiar with the taste of metho?
