Thanks for that observation Matt. I do all my own servicing on the old V8 but had already reconciled myself to getting a 4wd servicing agent as I know jack about deisels.
Probably won't use a LR dealership as they charge like wounded bulls. They quoted me $1,600 + fitting for a replacement alternator on the V8 and I managed to make a Nissan one fit. Cost me $150 and it's been fine for 4 years. Sad thing was I only needed new brushes and they refused to sell them. Have to buy a new unit, yeh right !
