I had/have a mate, old bugger, Reg Ansett's first apprentice, worked in the same workshop in Hamilton for nearly 50 years, now he was a mechanic. :)
I am busy helping a mate that's new to 4 wheel driving set up his ute. Would you perhaps know if someone is making recovery points for these vehicles.Quote:

Latest generation of Amarok is not affected Frank. They have an updated engine, which does not include the "cheat" programming.;)
Shaun has checked, and his is not subject to any re-call / update etc. also very easy to check on the VW website which models are affected.
But even those which are affected have no problem being registered in any state in Australia. They are not in breach of current Australian emissions standards.
I'll bet this breach has cost VW a lot of customers, would be a good time to be bargaining for a new VW, regardless of whether it meets Australian standards, mud sticks, Regards Frank.Quote:
