I'd go with the moth balls, they convinced a possum that there were better places to stay than my roof.
I seem to be having a spate of geckos frying themselves inside expensive gear.
First a UPS , now a photocopier.
How to keep them out?
Teflon tape around racks? And around points of entry
WD40 as above, messy
Fly wire on all holes, bit worried about heating, plus it would look ****
Camphor balls inside device
Ideas?
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

My lounge a/c split system fell victim to one last year. Cooked the gecko on the circuit board when I tried to start it up. Unfortunately not covered by warranty or insurance so had to fork out for a complete new one. Fortunately the new one is "vermin proof" or so it says. So far so good.

A bit of lanolin or fisholine brushed in the right spots seems to sort out the geckos.
So there I was sitting peacefully this morning enjoying a cuppa, reading the paper thinking........... "Well not much to do today for a change might head down the coast"..... phone rings, (should not have answered), younger brother tells me his bedroom split went pop last night, removed front cover and found BBQ'd Gecko.....(Yay).... so says he, just on my way to Good Guy's to get another split, what ya up to Kevy...........Yep should turn my phone off on weekends![]()
