Here's a tip:
If you don't need to front axle/ rar axle weight broken up, but are just after the overall vehicle weight you can save money on weighbridges.
My local council tip (sorry, waste recycling and disposal centre) has a weighbridge for weighing commercial waste vehicles in and out (they get charged on this basis).
So just head up there and whack your vehicle on it (it just weighs as you drive onto it). Now go and buy some beer (or petrol if you have a Rangie) with the money you just saved.
I know that my Ute (empty; with driver and bullbar) weighs approx 1.5 ton (tonne?) - it's been awhile since I've been to the tip so I can't remember the exact weight.
