Yep, trains have stopped. AGAIN.
Just had a big storm and hail here in Brissie CBD.
There was so much water I could look out the window and it was a total white out ! Wouldn't even know the next building was there !
I hope the trains don't stop AGAIN.
Now BOM shows the storm headed directly to my home !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Biggest hail I can remember seeing. I seriously thought it might break windows.

Lots of wind, brief heavy rain and now power here.![]()
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
The wife has just received pics of a couple of friends cars with smashed windscreens, both in the CBD area I think![]()
Just on the phone to a friend lives 100m from Archerfield. Tells me there are dozens of planes on their backs there, and all the main roads in the area are gridlocked and stopped with numerous power lines down across roads, and at least one semi blown onto its side. They have no power and have been told a minimum of twelve hours before they get it back. He had golfball sized hail and the garage got badly flooded but otherwise no problems with the house.

I had a late call to Wacol, the van was changing lanes by itself at 80k's
Half the traffic was doing 40k's,holding everyone up
Wind and rain was unbelievable,no hail though.
At home not much happened at all,bit of rain, that was it.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Copped a hiding on the way home. Luckily I was in the wife's Subaru due to my motorcycle being off the road and me unable to ride it until I recover from an operation.
Basically got chased by the storm all the way from work at Archerfield, until I got caught in a traffic jam on the Riverside Expressway in the CBD.
Rear screen smashed, both side mirrors smashed, and large dents all over the roof, left hand side and bonnet. I'm no assessor, but wouldn't be surprised if it's a write-off. I'll get some photos of the dents in the morning when the car is dry.
Both the car in front and the car beside me also had smashed rear-windscreens.
I thought it was quite exciting, and certainly the wildest storm and biggest hail I can ever recall. Except the 3.5 hours it took to get home (normally an hour trip).
