The Danish Club Brisbane currently has Carlsberg Black Gold and Tuborg Julebryg available as well as the usual Carlsberg and Tuborg lagers. If you are not fussy about "Best by" dates then they have some Black Gold that is close to date for $45 carton.

Coopers are now making green Carlsberg here. I have not tried it. It was made by fosters for a while and I reckoned it was just that VB rubbish in a different bottle. Definitely not the same as what you get in Danmark.

Modern water treatment, Ian. Brewers (chemists) make the water into whatever they need. Soft, hard, or in between.

Blimey - that takes me back .

I reckon my blood was 80% Holsten Pils back in the mid to late 70's.

I gotta track down some Kronenbourg 1664 or was it Royal Kaltenbourg I used to enjoy - cant remember?! I better try both. So much Beer , so little time.

What would be a good name for a Landy inspired brew?

    Solihull Shandy?
