Again, you assume all riders are visible and all drivers perfect, accidents happen, it has nothing to do with dangerous drivers.
Collision avoidance and other vehicle safety systems are an evolving science. You would have to be defiantly ignorant to argue the benefits, from seat belts to safe following distance devices, why ignore something that could save a cyclist's life? A fatality here in SA was due in part to a driver not seeing the cyclist, notice they don't all wear hi-vis jackets and can easily 'blend' in with vegetation on country roads?
Again, relying on the driver is simply ignorant of the facts, but maybe you'll have to realise this in your in your own time...
In the meantime...Let it go![]()

A lot of accidents here where the car/truck/bus driver couldn't have done anything...

no cyclists were hurt in the making of this video
i think the number one thing to learn from that video is to look before you do anything

Ok, I'll return the favour and humour you, so I've got a 'collision avoidance early warning device' fitted to my bike and it's beeping in my ear telling me every time there is a bogun Hilux or whatever coming up behind me at 100 clicks... Then what? I should get off the road? Ride in the gravel? Dismount? Prepare for possible impact?
On the contrary. All cycling on roads is ENTIRELY reliant on drivers being courteous and not running you over. Not being a courteous driver is being ignorant of the facts.
Let what go? My road rights as a cyclist?
Sorry, but I had to delete the video - even though you say no one was killed, there were some pretty horrific accidents there - clearly not G rated - would you like your young children to see people hurt like that?
No more of that sort of thing please.
